How Long Does Treatment Take?

The amount of time you’ll spend in-office depends on your custom Er:YAG treatment. While smaller areas can be done in just 30-minutes, larger areas can take upwards of 2-hours. You will be asked to come in 1 hour prior to treatment, for placement of topical numbing, for maximum comfort during the treatment.

What Results Will I See?

There’s likely to be some rawness and swelling immediately following Er:YAG ablative laser treatment. Patients can expect to see initial results after 1-2 weeks when the majority of swelling dissipates. In the following weeks, continued improvement will gradually occur as new tissue forms and younger, healthier skin appears. Results are long-lasting and dramatic.

Is There Any Downtime?

The Er:YAG laser uses high-power/short-duration pulses, which means that patient comfort is optimized and downtime is reduced. Although you go home the same day, most patients need approximately 3-5 days of recovery time while the skin initiates its self-healing process.
